Existe una necesidad clara de formar a profesores en el uso de herramientas virtuales, especialmente en mundos virtuales, que les faciliten la docencia.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;En este marco, se ha desarrollado el Proyecto Added Value of Teaching in a Virtual World (AVATAR) (Valor añadido de la enseñanza en un mundo virtual), que se encuentra actualmente en desarrollo, hasta 2011, financiado por la Comisión Europea y cuyos destinatarios son las instituciones de educación secundaria. El objetivo principal del proyecto es aumentar el uso de las TIC en la educación y proporcionar a los profesores nuevas herramientas pedagógicas y metodológicas. James Clay de Gloucestershire College presenta "El futuro de la enseñanza es móvil": La gente puede y aprende en todas partes (en la cafetería, en el tren, en casa). El aprendizaje móvil será parte del futuro porque permitirá que el aprendizaje suceda en un lugar y en un tiempo idóneo para los estudiantes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;El aprendizaje móvil (m-learning o m-aprendizaje) lo describe como: aprendizaje usando dispositivos móviles (teléfonos, mp3, i-pod, ...), aprendizaje mientras te mueves (en tren, en coche...), aprendizaje con tecnologías web móvil (Twiter, blog, flickr...), sin olvidar la movilidad del estudiante (usando su portátil en la cafetería, consultando su correo en el tren, usando simplemente el teléfono,…).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;¿Cuál será el futuro de la educación? Vivimos con Internet (no con Internet o en Internet), “(…) la virtualidad en la que vivimos es una dimensión de nuestra realidad”. Durante todo el día estamos en Internet, hacemos todo con Internet. Dentro de nosotros conviven dos formas de relación y de actividad social y su ajuste depende de nosotros. Este antropólogo y profesor de la Universidad de Oxford, sugiere que solo podemos manejar y mantener relaciones sociales estables con 148 personas. No todos los estudios confirman su hipótesis: Russell Bernard y Peter Killworth hablan del doble y Marsden de la Universidad de Harward de solo unos pocos contactos. &lt;br /&gt;Un estudio realizado sobre la base de los datos obtenidos de Facebook indican que como media en la red se forman grupos de amigos de 120 personas y que la red más estable y frecuente es mucho más pequeña: los hombres un trato frecuente y estable lo mantienen con 7 personas y las mujeres con 10.
